Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Radiant Makeup, Photos, Swatches

Hello beauties,

Today I am sharing a new high end foundation from Estee Lauder. Last year around this time around, I had been hearing so much about Estee Lauder double wear foundation that I was looking forward to buying it, then my germany trip happened and I got this one and was super excited to try this out!

Cut to the present, even after a year, I am still in two minds about this foundation even as I am penning down this review and may come to a conclusion on my love/hate for this product till I reach the end of this post.

I got this foundation during my earlier trip to germany (HAUL POST). It came for 38 euros for 14 ml of the product.

Ingredient list:

Swatch:

The foundation is not very fluidy but has a very light texture, glides on smoothly and provides medium coverage on my skin. The coverage can be totally built up without caking. The foundation is very long lasting on me and survives for 8 hours. The foundation comes off easily with a makeup remover. It has not broken me out yet.

However, my major issue with this one is that the shade is not a perfect match for my skin tone and is a bit too dark, so I mix in some Body Shop Shade Lightening drops (review coming up soon) to lighten up the color and match my skin tone.

The foundation provides enough moisture to my skin and on wintery days doesn’t need a powder to be set. I use the sponge applicator provided on top to apply this foundation and it provides a natural finish. I twist the botton just halfway through to get enough product to cover one half of my face and then twist again to get some more product to cover the remaining half. The sponge applicator is a good inclusion as it makes the foundation travel friendly. After 1-2 hours of application the foundation settles in to a more dewy finish. So, it is a good idea to powder the t-zone if you are super oily there. However, the sponge needs to be cleaned after every use as it is a harbinger of germs if not washed and may lead to breakouts!!

My major grouse with this foundation apart from the shade mismatch is the price at which this retails. I am not too happy with the amount of product received at this hefty price tag, only 14 ml, and I still feel Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is way ahead in terms of texture and quantity that I won't be repurchasing this one again.

Have you tried the Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Radiant Makeup, let me know your experience in the comments below.

See ya...
