July 2013 Vellvette Box

Hello Friends,

Lazy, lazy sunday :). I have a kind of love/hate relationships with sundays, and all because of the Monday blues kicking in since sunday evening itself. Similar analogy may be applied with Vellvette boxes, I have been a subscriber since September last year and the love/hate relationship continues. But with each passing box (or month) I find the relationship moving towards love :). So read on to know the contents of my July 2013 Vellvette box...

My Festive Manicure

Hello Girls,

Hope you had a fun and safe Diwali. Even as I hear the dying sounds of a few crackers going up in the air this morning, I was itching to share a new nail art technique I tried yesterday for my Festive Manicure.

The technique is known as sponging nail art and gives a beautiful gradient / ombre effect on the nails. I have used the following nail colors for creating the manicure and a makeup sponge.

I did this cute flowery manicure with some nail art pens (shown HERE). Hope you guys like it. Started with two coats of chambor French white on my nails. And used the red and green pens to draw these on my nails. Very easy to handle for free hand designing.
