Blue Smokey Eyes: Step by Step Tutorial

Hey Girls,

I have been wanting to do a blue smokey eyes since eternity but was always scared if it wouldn't suit my complexion. But after I saw Anushka Sharma in IGT Grand Finale, I had to try out this look. She looked drop-dead gorgeous!!!
I wore this look recently for a dinner, found it very contemporary, good for indian as well as western wear, and though not a neutral look, could be paired up with contrast colors in clothing as well.

Festive Makeup Tutorial: Bronzed Gold

Hello ladies,

This is the second of the festive makeup tutorials I came up with (read the first one HERE). For this one I decides to stick with gold and brown / bronze eye colors, as this look could be paired with any sort of blingy outfit and make you look glamorous. The makeup itself is simple to do and would look good with most of your festive outfits.

Starting off with the products used:

Festive Makeup Tutorial: Silver and Blue

Hello Girls,

Since the festivities are right upon us, I decided to do two makeup tutorials for Diwali. Since here in India we are always wearing bling in our festive clothes, I decided the makeup to match the bling. While playing around with colors I had in my kitty, I came up with a silver and blue eye makeup, which I think would look great paired with all-white / all silver outfits. I hope you girls like the tutorial.

So, let's begin with the products used for the look:

Indian Wedding Reception Eye Makeup: Step-by-Step Tutorial

Hello Girls,

Happy Weekend everyone, am having a very busy schedule over this and the next weekend as we have to go shopping, decorating, and visiting relatives for Diwali. Hopefully will be able to do some makeup shopping as well.
Recently, I had to attend a day wedding reception (you would understand this if you were a jain). I wore a mauvish pinkish Benarasi saree with silver thread work. Since the saree had all the classic elements, I decided to keep my eye makeup more towards the neutral smokey side and came up with this look. Hope you like it!!!

Let's start with the products used for the eyemakeup:

My KarvaChauth FOTD & OOTD

Hello ladies,

Wishing all of you a very happy KarvaChauth. Being a Jain (by mariiage), I don't celebrate this but have seen my mom do it since I was lil kid. It was a very fascinating festival for me, the main plus point being the henna application. I used to go with my mom and get my hands full of henna, I still love the designs so much, but sadly cannot apply henna as often as I would like to. The second good thing was that she used to eat "sargi" in the morning at which point I also used to accompany her. The only thing I didn't copy was the tough "fast".

So, coming back from the childhood memories, even though I don't fast for my hubby, I never miss an occassion to dress up. Since today is a working day, I decided to keep it simple and wore this ethnic suit to office.

The suit is high neck, pista green in color with bronze aari work embrodery and small mirrored sequins all over and on the collar. The dupatta is chiffon with bronze aari work lace as well. The suit has a bodice which is made up of net and there are kairis done with aari work.

My Rakshabandhan Outfit and FOTD

Hope you guys had a awesome Rakshabandhan with your families. I get to meet all my cousins after a long time (basically after Diwali) and get to share a lot of details about each other's lives then.

So, this was what I decided to wear this year, a green suit (generally I wear Saree) with thread embroidery (purchased from Meena Bazaar), loved the embroidery when I first saw it and bought it instantly. Particularly love the Ladies with tumblers on their head. It has a chiffon dupatta with lining, which is light weight and easy to carry (not shown here).

Black Smokey eyes, EOTD, FOTD

Hey Girls,

I hope everyone of you had a nice and relaxing weekend. Mine was fun and frolic and includes some grocery shopping. Also, saw the movie "Ladies v/s Ricky Behl" yesterday. Loved Anushka in it, she is a stunner, really love her skin and the makeup that she dons. She is quiet experimental and looks pretty good.

After my initial stint with brown smokey eyes (shown here), I was determined to do more smokey eyes. So, for this weekend's outing, I chose black smokey eyes. Hope the pics do justice unlike last time (where it looked as if I had dark circles) and hope you girlz will like it.

So, here it goes, products used first:

Rock Golden Green Eyes with Inglot

Hello Girlz,

Today I am doing an EOTD with one of my favorite eyeshadows in the world, it's a green one I purchased from Inglot, and am completely in love with it. Though I cannot recall the name, and since its magnetic I cannot lift it without breaking it, a risk I am not too willing to take, you have to just take my word that it's the most gorgeous Grren eyeshadow.

So, here are the products used:

1. Inglot Green eyeshadow
2. Inglot Golden Eyeshadow
3. MAC Lsut Lipglass
4. MAC Painterly Paint pot
5. Eyeshadow brushes.
