Clarins White Plus Launch Party at The Westin, Gurgaon

Hello Girls,

Hope all of you had a great weekend, mine was so much good 'cause of Clarins White Plus Launch Party  hosted together by Vellvette and Clarins at the Westin, Gurgaon on Saturday. Initially, I was a bit sceptical about attending it but then I decided to go and I am so happy that I attended. I have to thank the lovely Vineeta from Vellvette as well as Richa and Bharti from the Clarins team to make the event so special and personalised for me.

So, here I have a few pics from the event to share with all of you. Vineeta greeted all of us with equal enthusiasm and went all the way out to make us feel comfortable. We were pampered with goodies, skin care sessions, and awesome food. We were introduced to the lovely range of Clarins products at the event both skin care and makeup:

Sephora India Visit and Hauls

Hello Girls,

Sorry for being MIA, I think this year has brought with it lots and lots of expectations for me, mainly on the work front. So, I have been very irregular with my blog posts. But hopefully, will try to do atleast 5 posts a week. I have so much to share with you guys in terms of products reviews and hauls that it has become overwhelming for me. I hope to clear all the backlog in the coming days, amen :)

Ok, so I think the title would have got all of you excited. Finally, I was able to visit the hyped Sephora in Delhi. In a single sentence I would say that the experience was enthralling and disappointing both. I guess most of us who have visited the place would agree.

Singapore Trip Memories

Hey there,

How is your day coming along??? As promised in my HAUL post (read HERE), I am posting some of the pics from my recent singapore trip.

First a few things about singapore, it's a very clean and green city from whatever I saw of it. Next would be that it is an expensive city. Third, it is the most comfortable and well-planned city I have seen (considering that this was my first international trip).
We were there for 5 nights, the first day was just the flight and some local trip to a mall nearby. We stayed at Ibis Novena in Singapore, a three star hotel. The room was not very big but comfortable with all the amenities you would require. It had an MRT station at just 5 minutes walk, which we never got around to using, cause we had found all about free shuttles to all tourist destinations.

Day 1: We went by Singapore Airlines, as my son was 2+ when we were boarding the flight, so we got a separate seat for him as well. The staff is super friendly and couteous, the kids also get a kit for playing before take off. There are special Child meal in the flight as well. Simply love Singapore airlines :) Most of the tourist attractions have a discount (10-15%) if you show SIA boarding pass. This came in handy for us at many places. Read for details below.
Reached Changi airport and were cruising on our way to hotel in a taxi in less than 30 minutes after touchdown. talk about efficiency.

We stayed at Ibis Novena Hotel, it's a relatively new budget hotel but extremely clean and efficiently maintained. The hotel staff is extremely helpful and will help you with all things you require at any time of the day. The only negative point was that their only restaurant would close down before 10pm and there was no room service. We settled for this hotel as we wanted to save money yet be close to Orchard Road from where there were free shuttles to most of the tourist attractions.

Day 2: We had planned for Full Day City Tour, there are many tour operators running these kind of services and we chose FunVee HopOn HopOff City Tours. For most of the attractions we visited entry for children below three years was free. It was fun, a double decker bus with open top allowing you to visit all major locations in Singapore with ease.

The tours start from Singapore Flyer and there is a shuttle, which picks you up from your hotel. all major hotels are covered so it should not be a problem, wherever you decide to stay. We went about in the Flyer as well, some pics below.

A Lunch with Friends at Barbeque Nation, Gurgaon

Hiya girls,

My first ever restaurant review!! Never thought I could do one, do let me know about my attempt and whether you would like to see this feature added to Mumma's World!

So, Barbeque Nation is a family restaurant located in Sushant Lok, gurgaon. I have been there a few times earlier as well but never ever thought of reviewing it (I seriously don't know why??). We went there for a lunch recently to celebrate one of my friend's birthday.

It's concept is pretty unique and you would generally find it crowded day in and out (better to make reservations in advance). It has a buffet lunch and dinner on all days of the week, which is pretty reasonably priced at INR 425+ taxes (for vegetarians) and I think a tad bit more expensive for non-vegetarians (INR 475 / 500 + taxes).

So, the name Barbeque Nation (does it suggest something to you), let me show you, on each table they lay down a burning / smouldering coal ambers in a steel cage and place your kebabs / starters (if you like) on them. So, it's like they are cooking or keeping hot in front of your eyes. What you see is achaari aloo, grilled vegetables, and spicy mushrooms (I made up the last name :)). From these choices, you can easily guess that I am a vegetarian. Another unique concept they have is that to ease serving and avoid mistakes in starter serving, they offer green plates to vegetarians and brown plates to non-vegetarians.

Pregnancy: My second trimester

Hey Friends,

Today I am planning to share my second trimester pregnancy experineces with you guys (for starters, I have shared my first trimester pregnancy experiences here). I know it is a bit late in the day for this, but I never found enough time to go through my medical file and find the requisite information.

This weekend I made that effort, and I am sharing this with all of you, the new moms to be and their families. So, to begin with the second trimester was a breeze compared to the first. I felt better (no more morning or evening sickness, as was the case with me). I felt fit and energetic, even though my tummy wasn't showing much at the beginning of the fourth month, it progressed slowly.

This was time for celebration, as we told all our near and dear ones, who showered us with their blessing and loads of advices. Th eone advice which I followed diligently throuout my pregnancy was drinking atleast one glass of cocunut water everyday. I later learned that it helps with UTIs and also keeps the potassium levels in the body balanaced. Coconut water is also good during the summer months as it prevents heat stroke.

Here are my 5 must haves for this summer:

1. MAC Fuidline in Waveline (review here): Am loving this one so much, almost wearing this day in and day out. It has replaced all my pencil liners :), love the texture, ease of application, staying power, and the color.

Zangoora - the Gypsy Prince at Kingdom of Dreams

Hey people,

Hope all of you had a nice weekend. I for one had a blast with my hubby. It was my anniversary on 22nd Jan (sunday). Started celebrating from Saturday itself. Wanted to share the happiness with you guys.

On Saturday, we went to Kingdom of Dreams, well it's less than 5 kms from our home to watch Zangoora. We have been to the culture gully earlier with my baby, had been planning to go for Zangoora. What could be a better occasion than our anniversary?

The entrance of Kingdom of Dreams is grand as in GRAND. Elephants, drums, and royal Indian decorations greet you at the entrance.

The culture gully is a separate space inside which you would find food, jewellery, clothes, and gift items from various Indian states.

Hello people,

Today I wanted to share with you guys my pregnancy experience. This article is part of three series of articles, one for each trimester. So, read on if you are planning for a baby, are going through pregnancy, or just for some first-hand information from a first-time mommy.

So, we were planning for a baby after like 4 years of marriage when my husband wanted a baby after seeing everyone around him having kids. He was very excited to know that I had missed my period, though only by a couple of days. Even though I said it is normal and happens to almost everyone, he was full enthu and got me not one but two test kits.
