Nails of the Week: My First Attempt at Water Marble Nail Art

Hello Girls,

For this week's nails I decided to do some water marbling. As this was my first attempt, the design was not as precise as I wanted it to be, but I wanted to share this attempt with all of you.

Nail Art of the Week: Flowery French Manicure

Hey Girls,

Today I was feeling a bit lazy 'cause of the rains :), though thoroughly loving the respite they are providing from the heat, I am now longing for a bit of sun!!!

So, today I am wearing on my nails a flowery French Manicure, for this I have used Sally Hansen's French Manicure kit, and stamped flowers from Konad Image Plate #69 using Chambor French White.

Chambor Stay on water proof pencil in Forever Blue

Hey People,

Hope all of you are having a lovely day. Mine is something sort of tense, and not for all the right reasons. Actually there are a lot of things happening in my life right now, which are making me feel overwhelmed. First, the good news, my brother is getting married this year, so whole lot of shopping is about to happen. On a more serious note, my MIL’s is about to undergo a surgery this very month, so matters are a bit tense in the home. Hopefully she will make it all right. Some more agendas, the annual appraisals, upcoming festivals, and my birthday are trying to make this into a whole lot happening month.

Enough of bantering about the various situations in my life. And coming to some good product which I been using since recently. I have an eyeshadow trio (shown here), a French manicure set (shown here), and a lipstick (shown here) from Chambor and have mixed feeling about the brand. So, when I received this eye pencil in my February blisscovered box (shown here), I was not sure of my liking towars this.

My Eyeshadow Palletes

Hello people,

Hope everyone is having a blast. Am excited for the upcoming festivity in the month of March (HOLI is almost here!!!) Though am a little scared of colors getting into my baby’s eyes and ears, otherwise am looking forward to having a fun-filled HOLI with him.

After a long, long time I am going to share with you all my eye shadow palettes (previous articles herehere, here, and here). Though currently I own only three, am thinking of expanding my color spectrum.

Nails of the Week: French Manicure with Chambor

Hey all,

Yay half teh week is over!!! Weekend is only two days down the line. Do you have any plans over the weekend?? I for one am trying out Russian salad and Sev Puri recipe for the first time at home. Would share with you all how it turned out!!!

Coming now to the nails of the week. This week I decided to do a French manicure. I have been fascinated by this concept since my college days, but couldn’t figure out the big deal about it. Mostly people suggested that this was for making your nails stringer, and since I had preety tough nails, I thought that it was not for me. Until recently, my nails started showing signs of brittleness.

Chambor truly lasting lipstick: Does it last??

Hello People,

Today I am reviewing the Chambor Truly Lasting Lipstick in Truly Sunset (914). I got this shade (also shown here) after swatching all the shades on the Chambor counter. It was indeed love at first sight. Though the website mentions 21 shades, I found around 10 shades at the Westside counter from where I got this.

I got this for INR 575 for 1.9 gm of product, which is almost half when compared to the normal lipsticks (4g). Thus it comes out to be quiet expensive.

It is packaged beautifully, a rectangular blue case with a silver lining with a silver rose printed on top of the cap. The lipstick is encased as a thin bullet inside the thin cylindrical silver bullet.

My Lipstick collection and swatches

Hello People,

How's your day, I am in an introspective mood today, over analyzing each of my thoughts and actions. Today I have been analyzing my buying patterns in makeup and have realized that most of the times I buy my makeup drug store brands, because grocery stores have also started sticking these up and grocery trips are mandatory for me every weekend.  And then since I own a particular makeup shade (from a drug store brand) I avoid buying the same shade from the good ones (case in point being MAC). This year though I have decided to break the habit by first visiting my dream makeup stores before making a trip to the grocery store (wishful thinking).

I think this is not going to work, as I have realized slowly that I am a shopaholic. So, enough introspecting for the day. Let's move on with the post. This post is second in the series of posts (where I would be sharing with you guys my makeup collection), dedicated to lipsticks (which I currently own and use).
