Biotique Bio Mountain Ebony Vitalizing Serum for Falling Hair Review

Hello beauties,

I am so, so, so, sorry for being so, so, so away! Been under the weather lately with the onset of viral fever. But all is well now, so I will be back to regular postings!

Today, I am reviewing a hair product from Biotique, an anti-hair fall vitalizing serum (quiet a mouthful). I got this on the spur of the moment, cause during monsoon my hair goes really limp, making me not wanting it to oil at all and I wanted something which could provide nourishment to my hair without making it oily and greasy (if you get the flow).

Price: INR 185 for 120 ml of the product.

So, to begin with the serum has a pleasent fragrance, which I quiet like. Looks like a brownish fluid (as you can see above). Is decently priced and has an impressive list of ingredients.

I apply it directly on my hair roots from the bottle and the message the fluid evenly. The serum has a watery consistency and thus spreads easily and also provides a slight cooling sensation till it evaporates. The serum doesn't make my scalp oily/greasy, however my hair look like they do after a day of shampooing.

The falling hair prevention claim of this serum, however didn't work on my hair, when I used the serum alone, as the hair fall might be due to some other causes. And the condition of my hair was not improved incredible well by this serum. My purpose of using this one as a replacement for oiling failed completely, as the ends of my hair didn't get the required nourishment and were very, very dry.

So, I would suggest that you can use it on days when you are not planning to use oil on your hair, i.e in between shampoos, but nothing, and I mean nothing will actually replace the benefits of oiling your hair. But being ayurvedic, with no harmful chemicals or silicones, the serum does benefit the scalp and your hair by providing some additional goodness to your hair.

Finally, I would say that it is not a mandatory product, but a good one if you are looking for adding some extra nourishment to your hair/scalp.
