Jovees Henna and Ginseng Anti Hair Loss Shampoo Review

Hello Friends,

How are you doing today? I have a new product experience to share with you today, a new find of mine from Jovees, the Jovees Henna and Ginseng Anti Hair Loss Shampoo.

Price: INR 95 for 110 ml of the product. A nice, sturdy, translucent packaging of the shampoo with a flip top cap for dispensing product.

Ingredient list:

The fliptop dispensing cap:

The shampoo is lightly brown tinted in color and smells of henna, not too strong neither too light, but just being there. Thankfully the smell doesn't stay on the hair and washes off along with the shampoo. The shampoo lathers decently and cleanses my hair and scalp thoroughly. The same however can't be said of the anti hair loss property though. My hair tend to fall a lot during monsoons and the same was the case this year as well even after using this shampoo. I have oily scalp and this shampoo tended to control the oil as well throughout the day, otherwise I would have limp hair by the end of the day. So probably this would not suit women with very dry hair as it would tend to make them more dry.
A wonderful effect of this shampoo on my henna colored hair, which I noticed was that they were greying a little slowly than their usual speed as I shampoo my hair everyday in this season. So, I now apply henna to my hair in two months which is definitely an improvement (I use henna every month without this shampoo).
Another good thing was that I noticed very less split ends and hair roughening with this shampoo as compared to the ones I have used previously. At the price it retails and the non hair damaging properties offered by this shampoo, I must say that it is a good product.

Product rating: B+, available online as well as in local drugstores. Would recommend Jovees Henna and Ginseng Anti Hair Loss Shampoo to all looking for a nice drugstore shampoo and who have hair like me (fine hair with oily scalp). Beauties with dry hair would probably have drier hair after using this and would need a conditioner to keep their hair shiny and smooth.

Take care...

  2. It is DHT which causes baldness in males. This inherited condition can shorten hair growth cycle and gradually make the follicles appear smaller. As a result, it impedes the Dht blocker shampoo. This is where the DHT blockers come handy to cure your hair loss problems.
