Johnson’s Baby Oil Review

Guest Post by Chand

Claims about Johnson’s Baby Oil Review:
Johnson’s Baby Oil – with aloevera and Vitamin E
Pure, mild and gentle. Contains Aloe vera extract and vitamin E acetate. Apply gently in small quantities using firm but gentle strokes, before bath and for moisturizing after bath. Mildly perfumed, Non-staining.
Ingredients: Mineral Oil, Aloe Barbadenssis extract, Vitamin E acetate, Fragrance.

My experience with Johnson’s Baby Oil:
Johnson’s Baby Oil is a very famous and well known product to all mothers. A see through bottle with a screw cap. The screw cap also has a flip with a small hole made suitable for daily use. The oil is colorless and very thin. The stickiness of the usual oil is not found in Johnson’s Baby Oil.

There is a noticeable flowery scent/fragrance in the oil. But why this scent included in a baby product?! I feel it could cause allergic reactions in babies. I used this oil for my baby daughter. A main blunder I did for my new born. She broke into rashes the very next day. Since then I have stopped using this oil for her and recommend all mothers not to go for scented products for your babies. At least wait until your baby is 6 months old to experiment these products.
Now lately I have started using Johnson’s Baby Oil as my make up remover. Works great in removing all colors and dirt too. I occasionally use this oil for massaging my face.

So, in my experience, A very bad product for babies, and god alternative for expensive makeup remover.
Pros of Johnson’s Baby Oil:
-          Very thin consistency
-          Easy handling see-through bottle
-          Not very sticky
-          Affordable pricing.
-          Makes a good makeup remover
Cons of Johnson’s Baby Oil:
-          Has a flowery scent to the product.
-          Causes allergic reaction in small babies.
Rating: Considering that it is not made fit for babies, I rate it B-
