Lavera 3-in-1 Wash - Scrub - Mask Review, Swatches

Hello beauties,

There are two most important things on an Indian citizen's mind, #Baahubali2 (@BaahubaliMovie) with an answer to the now infamous question #WKKB and the sweltering heat with an anticipation of the maximum temperature in the coming months. Everything else fades away in comparison.

However, the focus of my blog post today concerns skin care in these summer months. Most of us face breakouts, dryness, flakiness, skin sensitivities and various other problems due to the harsh sun as well as being in and out of an air conditioned environment frequently. One of my purchases from Lavera on my German trip has been my helping my skin with breakouts and the heat. Let me introduce you to this 3-in-1 wonder product, which contains mint and can be used as a facewash, scrub as well as a face pack.

Price: 3.95 euros for 125 ml of the product (INR 300 approx)

Claims: Triple action to effectively reveal clearer skin: The lavera 3in1 Wash, Scrub and Mask actively fights skin blemishes and prevents them from reappearing. Harnessing the powers of organic mint and siliceous earth, it deeply cleanses skin and regulates sebum production to reduce oiliness and help prevent further outbreaks. Natural salicylic acid from willow bark extract actively fights spots, revealing beautifully clearer skin.

Ingredient List:

Swatch:

Usage: 3in1 Application

Wash: Apply daily in the morning and evening to moist skin and rinse with plenty of lukewarm water. Scrub: Gently massage into damp skin morning and evening using circular movements and rinse with plenty of lukewarm water.
Mask: For a deeply purifying mask effect, apply to damp skin and leave on for 3–5 minutes. Gently remove with plenty of lukewarm water. Repeat several times a week. Avoid contact with eyes and lips. Follow with your usual lavera toner and moisturiser.

As seen from the swatch above, the product has a creamy white base with exfoliating granules in blue and green colour. The white creamy base though looks heavy and rich in the picture above is actually quiet opposite, it is a light creamy formula with the most amazing cooling sensation I have ever felt on my skin. The product washes off easily as well, without leaving any film/residue whatsoever on the skin.

I have used the product in all the three skin cleansing rituals, as a facewash, scrub as well as a mask. As a face wash, I apply a small amount on damp skin and rinse. Though the product doesn't lather up but it gently removes all the grime and oily residues from the skin. All of this without stripping away natural oils of the skin. I am left with a beautifully clean and refreshed skin.
As a face scrub, the blue and green granules gently lift away all the dead skin cells and the minty base rejuvenates the skin to leave behind a fresh layer of smooth and soft skin.
As a face mask, you apply a layer of the product on your face and let it work its magic on your skin. The product simply deep cleanses the skin and it feels as if it is extracting/removing impurities from deep within the pores. The minty base just sets and dries very quickly within 5 minutes and provides you long lasting freshness even after you remove the product. My skin feels the tingling and cooling sensation for at least half an hour after product has been removed.

Inspite of the deep cleansing the product has never left my skin dry, it just feels softer and fresher. Also, the product has helped in controlling the oiliness on my face during these hot summer months.

The quantity you get is huge as a small amount, a 1 rupee coin sized amount is all that is needed to cover the entire face for face mask application. You could do away with lesser amounts when you are using the product as a face wash/face scrub.

Personally for me the best usage of the product is as a face scrub/face mask. Another plus for me is that Lavera is an organic/herbal brand and they don't test on animals. I would definitely love to repurchase it if given a chance.

Some of you may feel that Nivea Total Face Cleanup might be a replacement for this one, but they are miles apart. The Lavera 3-in-1 Wash - Scrub - Mask is way ahead in terms of formulation and the effects it has on your skin even though both the brands are German.

See ya...
