Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sun Block Photos, Swatch, Review

Hello beauties,

Summer is all upon us and I am trying to save my skin as much as possible from the breakouts and sun. In addition, have been trying to escape gorging on sugary drinks and ice creams. However, I do give in to my cravings once in a while.

This month, I have been planning to a series sort of thing, on summer skin care products, sunscreens, toners etc. as they are an important part of our skin care (or should they be...), and to review some of these products readily available in the marketplace.

Today, I am reviewing a sunscreen from Neutrogena, Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sun Block with helioplex with which I have been associated for long.

Price: INR 499 for 88 ml of the product.

During my recent trip to Thailand, I was looking for a really good sunscreen, which could be used on my kid as well. I finally shortlisted this Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sun Block with helioplex as my travel companion.

The beaches though lovely could be a bane for your skin if you are prone to sun burns and being with a 5 year old meant that I needed to protect him more from the harsher effects of sun burn than me myself.

The sunscreen comes in a tube packaging which I like though there are no other means than the squeezing pattern to know when th eproduct will run out on you. The dispenser is a clean and fuss free way of delivering the product.

The sunscreen doesn't have any discernible scent to me, not even the medicated types. The sunscreen has a thick, white texture which looks creamy and scary.  But, in reality the sunscreen has a very pleasant matte texture and doesn't feel cakey or heavy on the skin. Also, the product though spreads to a white cast on skin upon a little rubbing just looks invisible and matte.

As far as the skin protection index is concerned, this is one heck of a sunscreen, it provides the most wondrous sun protection. Even after spending hours on the beach, I was saved as I was religiously applying this one, but the same couldn't be said for my hubby and son. I got little to no tan at all on my face and arms where I was religiously applying this sunscreen after regular cleansing, toning, and moisturising.

All in all a wonderful product, though the price is on the higher end, but if you need a sunscreen which actually works, then you must go for it!
