OGX (Organix) Thick & Full Biotin & Collagen Amplifying Lotion Review

Hello beauties,

Hope you all had a blast during this Holi weekend! I played Holi like there was no tomorrow and my friends took every opportunity to dunk each one of us in the pinkest pink color. Still trying to get the colour off me now. I was really worried about my hair though, cause I don't like to wash it often and colour = chemicals for me and it leaves me worried about their health and care.

Enough blabbering, but coming to the topic of hair care, today I will be sharing with you my holi grail serum from Organix. They actually mention it as a lotion, but it has a more gel like consistency. So, let's get the name first, the serum is called Organix Thick & Full Biotin & Collagen Amplifying Lotion.

Next let me tell you something about my hair. My hair is of the very fine and limp types and doesn't hold any curl and always looks flat, whether or not it has been shampooed. I have started caring for it recently and the results have been encouraging so far. Will do a detailed post once I get positive results.

So, I have been looking for volumising products since eternity for my fine and limp hair. This has been the best product so far in my hair vanity.

Read on to know more about my experience with this product.

Ingredient list:

Price: INR 725 for 118 ml of the product.

Swatch:

The product comes in an nice purple coloured bottle with a pump dispenser, which can be easily and sturdily locked to prevent spillage during travels. I have travelled with this one a lot of times and the lock mechanism actually works. You have to press the nozzle on top and it dispenses enough amount to cover my shoulder length hair.

The product looks like a gum/ a sticky substance, but it is actually very light weight and non-sticky. The gel is mildly perfumed and smells of vanilla/chocolate combination, which I quiet like.

I apply this straight to my roots and hair length after washing my hair and let my hair air dry. For this product, I would say less is more and spreading the product evenly throughout the hair is important, because excess of the product on any hair strand tends to coat it and make it stiff.

Now this has been the only volumising product so far, which actually lends volume to my hair and doesn't weigh my hair down even after two days. There has been no product build up on my hair as well so far.

Organix doesn't do animal testing and the products don't have parabens, both of which are additional plus points for me.

The only con I would say would be the packaging as it doesn't allow me to know how much product is left in the bottle, so that I can know when to repurchase. Since a small quantity is required the product lasts really long. I have been using it for more than 8 months now and there is still some left as far as I know.

Organix also has a Shampoo and Conditioner for the Biotin and Collagen range. Am planning to buy the duo once my current shampoo runs out.

Have you tried this or other Organix products, how has been your experience? Let me know in the comments below.

See ya...
