Mussoorie Travelogue 2013

Hello Girls,

Had been missing in action for a while now as I was travelling during the Holi Week to Mussoorie. Had a great and must-needed trip with the whole family. Sharing some pics with you all today.

The Hotel we stayed at: Padmini Niwas, a nice and clean budget hotel located at one end of the Mall Road, with awesome views of the Doon Valley, and great food. We took a package for three nights four days with breakfast for a deluxe room and it cost us 12K only. Since it was holidays the prices were hiked and in off season the package would be 7-8K only.

Balcony in the front of our rooms, this is where we had our breakfasts as well:

The hotel has various nice small sitting areas from where one can relax and enjoy the serene views:

I had been to Mussoorie when I was in school and the place has definitely changed a lot after all these years. I remember very few of the shops and landmarks from those days. Since we had a lot of time on our hands this time, we visited a few unique places and the views were breathtakingly beautiful.

View from Camel Back Road:

The mall road is undergoing some work and was not in a very good state, so we were a little disappointed, but nonetheless enjoyed the weather and food.

While waiting for the cable car, huge serpentine queues:

View from Gun hill, this is where the cable car takes you, there are shops all over the place now and only a few idle spots left with awesome views of the snow-capped peaks:

We also took a trip to Lal tibba, Sister Bazaar, and Char Dukaan. Must visit if you would love to see the pristine views and would like to move away from the hustle and bustle of the commercialized Mall Road:

The only place I remembered from my childhood vacation, the mighty Kempty falls:

Hope you enjoyed the pics from my vacation. Have you been to Mussoorie in recent times?

Take care...
