My KarvaChauth FOTD & OOTD

Hello ladies,

Wishing all of you a very happy KarvaChauth. Being a Jain (by mariiage), I don't celebrate this but have seen my mom do it since I was lil kid. It was a very fascinating festival for me, the main plus point being the henna application. I used to go with my mom and get my hands full of henna, I still love the designs so much, but sadly cannot apply henna as often as I would like to. The second good thing was that she used to eat "sargi" in the morning at which point I also used to accompany her. The only thing I didn't copy was the tough "fast".

So, coming back from the childhood memories, even though I don't fast for my hubby, I never miss an occassion to dress up. Since today is a working day, I decided to keep it simple and wore this ethnic suit to office.

The suit is high neck, pista green in color with bronze aari work embrodery and small mirrored sequins all over and on the collar. The dupatta is chiffon with bronze aari work lace as well. The suit has a bodice which is made up of net and there are kairis done with aari work.

Makeup was very simple, Vedic Line BB cream, MAC Posey Blush, MAC Expensive Pink over the eyelids with a little matte black (Lancome pallete, outer corners) to add depth to my eyes, Lakme Eyeconic Kajal on the waterline and upper lash line, Estee Lauder mascara, and Inglot lipstick #410.

Happy Fasting (and Feasting) everyone!!!

Take care...
