My Current Skin Care Routine

Ok, so this is for you Shalini :) Sorry for not being able to do this earlier :)

Shalini has been requesting me to share my skin care routine with all of you for the past so many months now. I have been complimented on my skin since I was a child. Primarily it has to do with my genes, as my mom has the softest skin ever, but I would also consider following a good routine to be the key in maintaining a good skin. My mom's skin has become very thin with age primarily due to loss of collgaen, the protein which maintains the elasticity of our skin. So, a good skin care routine helps to keep our skin toned and maintains its elasticity and postpone the signs of ageing. If I miss out on the routine for a few days, my skin gently reminds me by popping up all sorts of things on my face, which I don't like.

Enough blabbering and on with the products which I use for my morning skin care routine:

1. Facewash (current: Aurita herbals grapeseed antioxidant facewash)
2. Toner (current: Neoveda Rose water) review here
3. Moisturizer (current: Neutrogena oil free moisture with SPF) Since I am indoor mostly, I don't use a sunscreen and this moisturizer works fine for me, but you must add sunscreen to your routine if you are out in the sun for most part of the day, review here
4. Under Eye Gel (current: Vedic Line bio under eye gel), review here
5. Lip Balm (current: VLCC mint lipbalm), review here

All the makeup or whatever I put on my face is after all these products have been applied in the order mentioned above and absorbed by my skin.

Coming to my night time regimen, there are two changes in the products, one is an additonal makeup remover (current: H2O+ eyemakeup remover, review here) and the moisturiser is replaced by my night cream (current: Iraya Lavender cream, review here).

So, these are the products I use on a daily basis. Apart from this I use my favorite TBS Blue Corn FacePack and Scrub twice a week (review here).

I guess that is all from my skin care routine. Apart from this a few more dietery tips, which I have been following: drinking lots of water and eating at least 5 fruits a day of different colors. Your skin is a perfect set up which reflects your eating habits and once you are on the other side of thirty you have to start monitoring your diet carefully for all the good reasons.

Do let me know your comments and your skin care routines girls.

Take care...
