Winter Glowing Skin Makeup - How to Achieve Natural Glowing Skin with Makeup

Hello beauties,

How are you gorgeous gals doing? I am on a detox of sorts for the past few months, makeup and clothing detox to be precise. And though it was really difficult for me initially, I feel more relaxed and energized now with less stuff to manage and strut around. And with time, I feel my creativity has started to kick in, and has helped me manage without the so called must haves!

So for today, I have a really nice trick up my sleeve, which I thought of sharing it with all of you. I am a big hoarder of makeup products and with the past few months of makeup detox I have realized that many of the products can actually multi task. And I have tried to mix and match products for serving two purposes: 1. To use up all the cosmetic lying around in my vanity and 2. Prevent buying more cosmetics for myself, which once expired due to less usage goes into the trash.

But let me add that with the new launches happening every now and then one surely is tempted and I am no exception. I also tend to give in sometimes and allow myself to cheat a bit. Just like dieting gurus allow for a cheat day of indulgent foods, I also allow myself for a cheat day of cosmetics, but within limits.

Now with the recent trends focusing on the glowly, highlighted skin look, I have used a illuminator Manna Kadar, which was part of my January 2017 Fab Bag.

I have mixed the highlighter with my current everyday foundation from KIKO Cosmetics (read about my haul here) and applied the two all over my face. Next I used the same highlighter on the high points of my face, cheekbones, bridge of my nose and on my forehead. Since, I wanted to go all glowly and natural, I didn't apply any powder on my face.

Next I filled in my eyebrows to give them some definition, tighlined my eyes using a kohl and applied a Whimsical from Revlon and used NARS Org?sm as a blush on my cheeks.

Hope you like the look! Do let me know if you decided to give it a try.

See ya...
