H2O+ eye makeup remover

Hey beauties,

Thursday just peeked onto us and suddenly it dawned onto me that the weekend is just a day away. Even if I don't have any special plans for the weekend, I always love the feel of WEEKENDS!!! Weird, you must be thinking, even I think so at most times.

So, the product under review today is H2O+ eye makeup remover, which was a part of my recent haul from Urbantouch (shown here).

Price: INR 850 for 133 ml of product. I got this on a discounted price of INR 650 from Urbantouch. The product is packaged in a see-through plastic bottle with a flip top, The packaging is quiet sturdy and travel friendly.

Ingredients:Water, Cyclomethicone, Isohexadecane, Disodium EDTA-Copper, Sodium Chloride, Dipotassium Phosphate, Benzalkonium Chloride, Quaternium-15, Copper Sulfate, Trisodium EDTA, Disodium EDTA

The flip top:

This is how the product looks after mixing the two layers:

Coming to the product, when kept for long it separates into two layers (as shown in the first pic), the top clear layer and the bottom blue-colored layer. I just love the separation of the product into two layers. The product removes makeup from my eyes quiet effectively and easily. I had mentioned earlier that I use Johnson’d baby oil as a makeup remover, but since the weather has changed here, my skin is not accepting oil based products and I required a gentle and light makeup remover, so I decided to buy this.

Below you would see a pic of my hand with swatches of some eyeshadaows, some eyepencils, lipsticks, and mascara:

To use, I mix the two layers, saturate a cotton pad with the remover and swipe it over my eyes slowly. The texture of the liquid is like a very light oil, and it is lightly scented, something which I didn’t find too bothersome for my nose. My eye area feels super clean and more supple after removing makeup with this remover. I would definitely say that it does what it promises. But, still I use an under eye gel as it has become a habit with me. The product would easily last me for more than 4 months as a little quantity is required for makeup removal. I feel my eye area has improved a lot after using this, I have started noticing lesser fine lines around my eyes, and the area looks brighter in the morning.

Below is the pic after a single swipe with cotton saturated with the remover:

Below is the pic after three swipes. As you can see my hand is completely bare of any makeup yet looks supple and moisturized.

The only problem which I have faced is that if the product gets into my eyes, it causes slight stinging and burning, nothing extreme, but it may be of concern to people with sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers. The solution, which I have devised is to keep my eyes shut tightly and wipe the cotton very slowly when I am tackling my lower lash line.

Product rating: A-, available at most H2O+ counters and online shopping websites. Would recommend this to people looking for a good quality makeup remover, though I would advise people to test this for sensitivity before purchase.

Take care…
